“In Bethlehem’s depths, where old tales echo,

“In Bethlehem’s depths, where old tales echo,

Lived a baker, heart hardened, movements slow.

Lost in his labors, mind filled with tasks,

His life a routine, behind a worn mask.

By a hearth that glowed but warmed not his heart,

He mixed and he kneaded, mastering his art.

Surrounded by spices, in dough’s soft embrace,

Yet his spirit was weary, lost in life’s race.

One hectic night, as stars took their place,

Exhausted and spent, he sought momentary grace.

“In Bethlehem’s depths, where old tales echo,

In the quiet of slumber, a dream took its flight,

Leading him where shepherds met angels that night.

Through his vision, a melody softly played,

The distant drumming of a young boy displayed.

Guided by stars, past men wise and grand,

He journeyed forth, across the dreamland.

At last, he stood at a manger scene,

Among humble beasts, a sight serene.

A radiant glow bathed the parents’ embrace,

An infant in hay, a symbol of grace.

The weight of the world, in a child’s eyes,

Under the gaze of the starlit skies.

The baker, once weary, felt a shift in his soul,

As the scene before him began to unfold.

His heart, long hardened, now felt a spark,

Ignited by the scene in the dream’s dark.

The bread he would bake, now infused with new light,

A symbol of change, of a heart taken flight.

Come morning, as his shop filled with cheer,

Unseen was the change, but the air was clear.

Each loaf he baked, now carried a scent,

Of a dream so profound, a night heaven-sent.

The baker, transformed by the infant king,

“In Bethlehem’s depths, where old tales echo,

Found hope and joy in the bread he’d bring.

In every loaf, a story untold,

Of a night in Bethlehem, and a heart now bold.”
